Established in 2012 by Dr. Marcia McKenzie (Adjunct Faculty, Educational Foundations), SERI is a collaborative, innovative, and internationally-linked institute that connects faculty, postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, staff, and other partners conducting research on environment and sustainability in relation to education.
Under Dr. McKenzie's Leadership SERI has supported projects such as the Sustainability and Education Policy Network (SEPN), The Monitoring and Evaluating Climate Communication and Education Project (MEECE), as well as housing the Digital Media Project: Youth Making Place.
SERI is currently undergoing a period of transition with the appointment of a new Director, Dr. Luke Heidebrecht.
